T he institute has upgraded its library facilities in order to provide for better library services to its students and faculty. The library subscribes a number of research journals besides regular newspapers and periodicals and has a fully computerised lending, issue and cataloguing service along with internet facilities for effective and quick referencing. The computerisation of the library services is achieved through the installation of the INFLIBNET designed SOUL Library software under the sponsorship of UGC. Supervised and monitored by a dedicated library committee comprising of senior faculty members, the library services include lending textbooks, consultation of reference materials, book bank facilities etc. Besides the central library, the college has also introduced separate departmental libraries where reference texts and discipline-specific journals are maintained especially for the benefit of the honours students and faculty. The Internet facilities made available at the library for the use of the students and staff of the college is nominally charged. Reprography services at a no profit no loss basis is also made available at the library for the benefit of its users. The library continues to upgrade its stock position through addition of new titles and editions besides other reading materials.
