Department ofHindi

The Department of Hindi was established in the year 1985.

Smt. Usha Thakur was the first faculty member who pioneered the Hindi department in this college and since then Hindi is one of the subject both in MIL(Mordern Indian Language) as well as an Elective subject has been incuded along with other subject in the curriculum at the degree level.

At present time Dr. Raj Kumar Jha is incharge of the Department.

Major events: The Department of Hindi conducted a one day Inter College Workshop on 13th March 2019 in the college auditorium on the topic of “Hindi poetry composition”.
Time to time the department of Hindi has also organized guest lecture in this college. On 27th September 2013 a guest lecture was delivered by Dr. M.P. Pandey Associate Professer Department of Hindi NEHU, on the topic of “The Spirit of Renaissance in the literature of Rabindranath Tagore and Premchand”. Another guest lecture was organized by this department on the 10th October 2015 in this college on the topic of “History of Hindi Literature “,the resource person was Dr. H.K Mishra Associate Professor department of Hindi NEHU. One more guest lecture was organized by the department of Hindi on 30th November, the resource person was Professor Dinesh Kumar Choubay, department of Hindi NEHU, on the topic of “The Golden Age of Hindi Literature”.
The department of Hindi has also sent their students to attend workshop and seminars in other colleges. As a faculty member of this department I (Dr. Raj Kumar Jha) have also presented five research papers in various National Seminars in different years and also participated in various workshops.
