The New Education Policy 2020 seeks to ensure students' holistic development, requiring the traditional curriculum to be reinvented and redesigned to integrate conventional curriculum with practical skills. The college has an established SkillsHub that will be the centre that aims to equip students with basic skills and competence in specific areas through skills-based add-on Certificate and Diploma Courses. Courses are designed flexibly to enable students to pursue them alongside their regular degree courses and through a blended mode. These courses are also open to nonstudents desiring to acquire specific skills. Regular registered students at the college are expected to complete at least one Course during each year of their study in college.

The Hub, established in October 2021, currently offers Elective Certificates in the following Courses:

PHOTOGRAPHY: LEARNING THE BASICS

Course Objective: This Course will introduce students to the fundamentals of photography and the ways in which they can use the camera to pursue photography as a hobby and develop advanced skills to make photography a chosen profession. It will help students acquire technical skills to genuinely manifest their creativity with a camera. Students will receive a Diploma Certificate after the successful completion of the Course.

CODE YOUR WEBSITE

Course Objective: It is a computer-certified Course structured to cater to students' needs. This course curriculum introduces designing, creating, and maintaining web pages and websites. It helps the student understand the importance of the web as a communication medium. Learn the language of the internet. Students design and develop sites for the World Wide Web. The Course focuses on HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, and animation using Adobe Flash. Students learn to integrate social media within web pages. Graphic design theory, information architecture, and search engine optimization methods also are discussed throughout the semester.

It enables them to develop the ability to maintain and present financial statements. It also helps the student understand the importance of accounting as a data storage medium.

Course Objective: Given the steady rise in older people in India, planning and managing their care is a significant need. This course is the first step to building the required human resources for geriatric care delivery.

Course Objective: This Course is designed to educate students in the art of Baking and Pastry Arts. Students will learn the basics of mixing, shaping, and baking several baked goods, including quick bread, cakes, pastry doughs, mousses, sauces, glazes, cookies, candies, and confections. Plated desserts, chocolate work and decorated cakes are highlighted. In addition, this course will introduce students to decorating techniques. Students will learn in a well- equipped, modern kitchen and prepare food for any functions and community service events. This Course includes classroom instruction and practice.
